Fortune Gems
TaDa

The original Fortune Gems set the foundation for what became a whole series of multiplier-driven slots. It features 3 reels, a 4th special multiplier reel, and 5 paylines. Simple and focused, it’s all about stacking multipliers and chasing quick hits. At the core of the game is the special reel, which spins a random multiplier (1x to 15x) that applies to every win. There's also an Extra Bet option — adding 50% more to your stake — which removes the low 1x multiplier from the pool and boosts your chances of hitting bigger ones. This mechanic adds a small layer of risk strategy. Symbol payouts are straightforward and higher than in later entries, but the overall win potential is modest: max multiplier of 375x, which feels limited compared to the 1000x+ in sequels. The design is basic, even for its time. Simple gem icons and minimal animations. The visual definition isn’t great — a bit blurry on modern displays. On the sound side, it's functional: minimal music and standard spin effects that do the job without standing out.

A basic but effective slot that introduced the multiplier reel concept. Good for beginners or quick sessions, but lacks the firepower and polish of its successors.
